About us

For future mobility concepts and in-car user experience, software is set to play an even more decisive role. Elektrobit (EB) is a visionary global supplier of embedded and connected software products and services for the automotive industry with more than 3400 employees worldwide. For over 30 years now, we have been developing pioneering technologies for automated driving, new vehicle infrastructures, connected cars, and user experience. At EB we are working toward a world in which mobility causes zero fatalities, produces low emissions, and transforms your commute into quality time. In our collaboration with our customers, including Audi, BMW, Daimler, Ford, GM, Volkswagen Group, Volvo, and many more, we live and breathe our passion for automotive software and for the mobility of tomorrow.

Join our team and help shape the future of the automobile.

Your responsibilities

As a Team Manager (m/f/d) you lead and develop an automotive software development team of approximately 30 people with direct managerial responsibility. You help your team members succeed and encourage them to utilize their full potential in their work by communicating clear goals and expectations and by identifying areas for new training or skill checks. It is part of your responsibility to coach, enable and support individual growth and competence development aligned with the project and business needs. You support ongoing projects (and possible new projects like RFQ analysis) with your technical knowledge in embedded software. You collaborate closely with your team, our customer interface team, project managers and HR. You work closely with other Elektrobit subsidiaries and sites worldwide, to allow for effective distributed development. Additionally, your responsibilities include recruitment, employment relationship matters, leading the performance and well-being of your people, competence development as well as budgeting.

Your profile

You are trained in the field of computer sciences, electronics, mathematics, or similar and have several years of professional experience in embedded systems, preferably in the automotive area. Additionally, you are experienced in leading people, preferably software designers, resource planning, performance management, employee relations and conflict management. Agile software development methods are familiar to you. You have experience in coaching or a high motivation to learn to coach. You can support, give feedback, and inspire others in their professional growth, and you enjoy doing this. As an empathic and accountable leader (m/f/d) with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills you stand up for your team's needs with enthusiasm. You are results driven and good at building networks and motivating people. You are cooperative and a team player (m/f/d) who likes to share experience and ideas with colleagues and for whom open communication and a tightly built team is important. Even under pressure you work precisely, efficiently, and proactively. Your profile is completed by fluent communication skills in English, written and verbally. German is a plus.
